[He just wants to be part of this stupid plan too!! He'd need way more planning time to actually get the jump on Anabel. Maximum creep factor. A map of the area. Darker clothes. Recon. He's trained her too well.]
[This time he just stalks up behind her and gives a deadpan]
[ He didn't a moment ago! On the bright side, he really is interested now even if it was because she challenged him. Anabel lets out a soft laugh, trying not to be too loud when she peers over her shoulder. ]
[ It was fun before it sounded that way and what productivity do either of them have? Finding a job on and off for money? That's about it. She takes a careful step back so she's without sound. ]
You should know that the bait is rarely taken immediately, though if my inkling is correct it will be sooner than expected. [ A pause and another one of those soft, ringing laughs. ] How considerate of you to let me do all the work.
[ But she's playful about it. If the past few months have taught her anything, it's that when it comes down to what is most important, he's active. What he's done for her -- was doing for her back home -- is more than some are capable of over years. ]
And what would I do with anything I might find through that? I trust you, anyway.
[You're not my boss! He pretends to look off into the distance, suddenly remembering... Still teasing, of course. Protecting his slack-off nature, though....truly the most important priority.]
Don't know. You secret agent types have too many tricks up your sleeves.
I'll be having a word with your direct supervisor in the near future.
[ In fact, he will actually catch her talking to Persian faux-seriously sometime after this, whether he remembers her teasing or not. She keeps her voice low, even with the up-turn of her words that edge into flirting territory.
Can't forget their goal, after all. ]
I suspect you are confusing me for the way you operated.
[ But she stops abruptly even though she appears to want to continue, lifting a hand up. There's something afoot -- and it comes with the click of clawed feet. A set of two, to be exact. ]
[He snorts, and knows exactly what she's talking about. Persian will undoubtedly take it seriously, and Nanu sees waking up with the giant cat spread out on top of him several times in the near future.]
[When she shifts into Agent Mode, he almost does it again, but remains quiet. He tilts his head in the direction of the taps of the claws, already expecting two very notorious troublemakers as the source. Silently, Nanu shrugs, and nods his chin in her direction to say I'll follow your lead.]
[ She'd do that anyway, especially if Nanu allowed it. She thought it was cute and it's unfortunate that she doesn't have a camera here to capture it.
Anabel is slightly crouched at this point, her breathing silent as that little tip-tap of clearly intentionally light steps. It's intentionally sneaky and attempting to be silent -- which means that it's planned. The chattering is quiet and there's some of that barely contained giggling that's oh-so familiar even if they're trying to keep silent.
Her hand is still up. Until that tiny creak of the refrigerator door is heard. About fifteen, twenty seconds later she gives the signal and reveals herself. Hands fall to her hips almost immediately. ]
Ah-ha. I've caught you two.
[ Weavile is holding Sableye up so she can reach for it. Their mouths already have something in it despite the clawed fingers looping around the milk bottle.
And they just stop and stare like if they're still they can't be seen. At least until they both put on the big, sweet, gooey eyes. ]
[Nanu already knows the culprits before they jump from their hiding spot, and he suspects she does too. It's not that hard to figure out, but it's still just as funny.]
[He watches as she reveals herself first, not ashamed to admit some pride at her stance and form (even for such a ridiculous stakeout). She's still using her Authority face and aura, and he knows that Sableye, at the very least, is scared straight. For the moment.]
[Languidly walking out behind her, his amused smirk is much less intimidating in comparison. The troublesome twofer are frozen, looking between their trainers. Sableye, above Weavile, can't use Baby Doll Eyes as well as her partner in crime, but Nanu swears she can make the jewels appear glossier in the light.]
Alright, the jig is up. Nobody try anything funny.
[ Somehow watching this all unfold is just... bordering absurd. Weavile's always been a bit of a troublemaker, but it feels like the two of them are out to impress one another and escalate their behavior lately. It's... kind of cute, but she doesn't want to encourage them too much.
There's a sound in her voice that commands authority despite the fact she also seems to be speaking like some do to children. ]
Put it back, you two. We're going to have a talk. [ And despite their frozen state, they very slowly seem to agree and push it back into the fridge. The door is still open, however. ] Close the door first and take a seat.
[ To which they do as ordered and slowly, surely shuffle over to them and just... kind of plop on down with a pout. ]
[Sableye loved to play with Acerola's energetic matching gremlin, but it was never as strong as the bond he's seen developing between her and Weavile - nor as coordinated. Nanu, however, feels no compulsion to interfere with their relationship. Even in a case like this.]
[He has to hold back a chuckle as the pair sulk over to their trainers, sitting down like preschoolers.]
You know, where I come from, petty theft is a punishable offense. [He clicks his tongue and shakes his head before turning to Anabel.] What do you think, Chief? Ten to life?
[ Anabel has to wonder if the poor things had just been missing someone to get along with... and, you know. Cause havoc with, apparently. Although Mismagius could be a troublemaker, she still didn't always get on with Weavile especially since Mismagius was something of a loner. It feels bad to think they might have to separate at some point in the future when they've gone home. The same with Raikou and Persian and the occasional Absol. All of them, really.
It's too comfortable. ]
Oh dear. And surely the two of you have been taught not to steal, haven't you? It's very unkind of you. [ The disappointment likely hits harder as it still is heavy and encompassing in her voice. Yet something still hits the right spot and might make them shiver. ] I was thinking perhaps that seemed about right, but perhaps we could be lenient just this once...

Please do not worry! I have this covered. :)

It seems like I'm already beginning and you're nowhere to be found!

which side of the house are you on?

[Nanu is absolutely creepin around the house perimeter to try and sneak up on Anabel]

If he wants to sneak up on her, he'll have to try harder. And be prepared to be hit if he actually succeeds more fully. ]

Boo.

Oh my, look who has joined me.

Had this place under surveillance for a while, huh?

[hey wait a minute] If you thought I was the one finishing the milk, does that mean you were waiting to catch me in the act?

[ She'd like to think he's more motivated for many things than he might seem to be. She knows it's mostly an act on his part. ]
Unfortunately, some mysteries will need a greater investigation to find the answers...
[ How coy. ]

[He's not wrong... Though he certainly enjoys not doing anything over doing something. Except when it interests him. And that's an entire lottery.]
Huh. I think going to sweep my room for bugs later.
