Man, I dunno. I haven't seen these monsters' eggs at all, I'm just spitballing here.
[He also doesn't want that to be the case. It'd be weirder than Golisopod finding himself a girlfriend with the other Pokémon here, mainly because... well, these things are not Pokémon. They're also... way dumber.
At Nanu's question, there's a little bit of an indescribable jolt. Like a mix of irritation and surprise--maybe a weird twinge of guilt?]
Uh. That punk Sun. Y'know, the champ--but he ain't the one I know. He ain't even the champ where he's from.
[That jolt is suspicious...but so is everything about Guzma. He's done something to most of the people here, Nanu bets. He searches his brain for that name, and surprisingly comes up with it. The kid with the Torracat...upset about something when they met.]
That boy is the champion? [He sounds genuinely surprised, and confused. But what Guzma says clicks with what Nanu already surmised.] Never seen him before. The champ's a girl, where I'm from.
[They're getting off-track... Or are they.]
You seem to know him well enough. Sure it's not one of his?
Y'know, I'm real sick of this timeline, alternate universe shit.
[So damn tired, it's exhausting trying to keep everything straight, and that was hard enough with only ONE world to deal with. Ultra Space notwithstanding.]
I know his alternate self well 'nough. That kid and I don't get on like the Champion and I did.
[A thoughtful (ha) beat.]
I don't think any of his Pokémon would fit the bill. The only one who might's a dude, anyway.
[You and me both, he thinks to himself. Choosing not to talk about it is probably the most helpful thing to do.]
I’m not familiar with them, aside from the Torracat. Guess you should be thinking in terms of compatible female pokémon instead of the trainers themselves.
[Not counting the monsters in this world, the list is cut very short. Who could it be?]
[It's so annoying when a good chunk of the people here from your world are versions from different realities. People you know, yet don't at the same time. It's bullshit.]
That's what I'm doing, yo!
[As much as he hopes it's not one of Sun's, he's pretty confident the kid didn't have any compatible Pokémon!]
He's got a Torracat, like you said. A Meowth, a Wishiwashi, a Mimimkyu, and a Crabominable. All males, so that's why he's off the list.
[That last thing Guzma's wrong about, but he's too confident in his incorrect information to really question it.]
I don't know the sex of everyone's Pokémon here, and even then not all of them are compatible past that—which is why this seems like an unsolvable mystery. None of this makes sense.
As far as I know, the only ones that would work are all male.
[It’s a real mystery, that’s for sure. Nanu hasn’t had one of those in a while. He’s confident it’s not any of his pokémon, nor Anabel’s… It just leaves a lot of others up in the air.]
Then you might have to start asking them about that. Can’t figure anything out if you don’t have the entire picture.
[Leaving the idea of Verens-monster reproduction (eaugh), one of those compatible pokémon has to be the culprit. Especially if Golisopod’s being coy about it.]

[After all, who names a girl Dong??]

[Guzma sighs, annoyance pressing through the line.]
But... keep an eye out, yeah? I dunno how many eggs there might be, and I'd hate if something happened to one of 'em.
