[nanu is simultaneously never looking them up yet judging archie anyway]
[The memory, though? The memory is finally worth something; Nanu no longer feels the need to deprive Archie's brain of oxygen until he passes out and gives their minds sweet silence. He recognizes the mythical pokémon immediately, coming to conclusions fairly quickly, and is perfectly content to follow this line of thought rather than...the alternatives...]
[It takes a moment for him to respond, though, mainly because he has to switch gears from chokehold, to Buck Mingle, to delightful childhood memory.]
...You met a myth as a tyke, huh? Not a lot of folks can put that on their resumé.
I still don't know why it came to us, of all people. I miss it every day but I know I'll never be able to see it again. Sometimes I wonder what it would think of what I became and did.
[he sends another memory, though this one is accidental. might be obvious seeing as it's jirachi flying away and tinged with sadness.]
I don't have any secrets about it to share, if you think meeting it would give me that. I barely even knew it wasn't a normal Pokémon when I was a stupid kid. Shelly was the one that told me it was a mythical.
Pokémon are a lot more forgiving than most give them credit for. It had a reason for coming over to you two, even if that reason was just because it liked you best.
[The emotional whiplash is hard to slog through, but this isn't something to make fun of. He doesn't care about secrets; not that he would think Archie would have anything life-shattering to learn at such a young age, except maybe that drowning the world is a bad idea.]
Hmh. I think that would make the memory better, in that case.
There is a disproportionate number of trainers with...special ties, who show up here. [Nanu's definitely noticed.] Legendaries, mythicals; people in important positions.
But the latter applies to most otherworlders, doesn't it.
[The better look at Jirachi is appreciated. It's the only chance Nanu will ever get to see it, unless the champion comes across one somehow. He tries to study the image in his mind's eye once the memory fades.]
People decorate bamboo with paper slips that look like them, right? With whatever they want to wish for. I remember a little about it when I visited Hoenn.
Might be worth a shot. [To bring it up or something, he doesn't know. It is a nice thought, right up there with Selenium's core reason and beliefs.] It'd be one festival you wouldn't have to drag me to.
Nothing like that of our own, but I've seen practices similar to it on Ula'ula. A lot of Johto- and Kantonian presence there. [He sends a mental image of Malie City and its garden.] We observe a lot of our own traditions that tie into everyday life, though.

[there's a pause, while he thinks something over.]
I wonder if the trainers here having experience with mythicals or legendaries is a coincidence or not...

[he'll distract but focusing and sending nanu a far clearer image of jirachi sitting on his forearm with a big smile.]
All I could tell you that people might not already know is that the blue tags on its head are related to the wishes.
