Personality points and other bits and pieces:

• Apathetic and jaded view of the world with a gloomy disposition to match his Dark-type preference


• Self-deprecating to a genuine degree


• Terrible posture, slouches over near constantly


• Morbid, dry sense of humor; though he does actually have the ability to be silly with proper comedic timing


• Not above mean-spirited comments, especially teasing and taunting (familiar) opponents in battle


• A side of casual laziness


• Behavior not unlike that of an extremely aloof cat (comes and goes as he pleases without a care for anyone else; appears silently and without warning; gives little or no explanation for his motivations whatsoever...)


• Knows how to utilize stealth bordering on creeper status


• Does not like extra responsibilities


• Has a bunch of super important responsiblities


• Will complain about anything mildly inconvenient at the drop of a hat


• Considers most things a hassle as a general rule - despite this, prefers taking care of problems on his own as opposed to trusting other questionable authority sources


• Has serious contempt of how adults and people in positions of power can and will abuse that power at the expense of others considered tools or at their disposal


• Has serious contempt of physical, mental, and emotional abuse of people and pokémon


• A very powerful Pokémon Trainer, chosen by a guardian deity as one of the four most powerful in all of the Alola region to protect its given island


• Despite being self-deprecating in all other areas of his life, he has great confidence in his pokémon battling skills (and completely backed by evidence such as being an Island Kahuna, having a pokémon team on-par with the Elite Four, the ability to alter his battle style to hold back his full power for a child to win versus going all-out...)


• Does not want to be an Island Kahuna, but once chosen the position can not be turned down; often forgets or shirks some kahuna responsibilities, but can come through when needed


• Chief of police of his island as well, though generally viewed as a lazy do-nothing who isn't up to snuff


• Despite complaints, he does genuinely care about the jobs in his own way, and will go above and beyond to protect people and pokémon in times of extreme duress


• Deeply loves his Pokémon (living quarters are full of Pokémon beds and food bowls, his prized Pokémon of choice is one that can only evolve through maximum friendship status)
